That was fun. There are some right nutjobs on that site. After 13 years of Ben Doon and Shaft McCavity some sheeple seem do have short memories.

..and it's not heavily moderated much.

Post early, post often. Although most of it will I'm sure be "moderated" away so as not to upset the true believers.

Like all consultations they are not interested in what you really think and therefore feel the need to weed out the "off message" comments. Can someone explain why a public consultation should be moderated anyway.Isnt it just another name for censorship?.

Wanting to hear your views but then editing out those you don't fancy seems... quaint.

Who do they think they are... the BBC?

How come it is 'Man' made climate change?
Women are the biggest fucking consumers going.
That is why at least 90%of advertising is aimed at them.
Men would probably have been happy to stay in cave's if it hadn't been for whinging women.

Thank you for this. If we get enough global warming I shall have a home by the seaside. At the moment I am 150 feet up and several miles down river. So it could improve my property value.

I think global warming is a load of bollocks. I am currently sat freezing mine off in Southern England and this is meant to be flaming June for fucks sake. The weather has been shit since they got rid off all those proper weathermen who wore sports jackets with leather patches on the sleeves and had a pipe in the side of their gobs. All these tarts in five inch heels mini skirts and smothered in fake tan with big tits know fuck all about ISOBARS, just wine bars and getting shagged by the producer. Bring back Michael Fish, he didn't always get it right, but he didn't give me the horn either!

Great find ! - I'm going to spend a LOT of time in there - and not just on bloody climate change !

Spread this further, OH - get the knowledge out to the entire blogosphere - OH for PM ? ...

mmm tempted to give a long post but I dont think it would help .

CW would prefer if the debate could be teased apart into global heating and pollution .

There is somthing in the fact that we are introducing CO2 made in ecosystems long ago , ie using the current resource of O2 and mixing in from a long ago eco economy .given the oil coal and gas will be gone in 200yrs perhaps 100 we will there fore have have "burnt" and in so doing made loads of oxides and energy in the process .So from the point of view of effectively a mass oxidation process happenning by burning it all we would expect to see some effects , purely on the grounds that we are adding somthing to the ecosystem economy sequestered long ago .

Whilst every AMMGW theory has concentrated on so called "heating gases" and the effect of water vapour absorbing the infra red radiation and so gradually heating the biossphere , there has been no real thought onto seasonal patterns of the sun or how the planet may be routes heat imbalances .The ocean currents for one , pipe imbalances and act as conduits as do the winds .

The next bit is pollution in terms of where are all these gases and oxides going ? Plant life will hoover CO2 providing we dont make more desserts , but equally CO2 dissolves in water to make weak acid , so if the oceans are absorbing the gases you may expect them to become more acidic .Really acidic lakes that have volcanic gases bubbling through them support little life , the oceans may be big enough to absorb a slight increase in acid , but acid rainfall may not be so good for agriculture , again it depends wether you on about ph6 or ph4 .

There are also other pollutions to do with burning/using fossil fuels ,substances that nature finds toxic , plant life starts dying and you cant make O2 or sequester CO2 back into longchain organic substances (cellulose).

Water you might note is a key link , no water and you get dessert , polluted water doesnt help anyone either , its natures solvent .If we upset the water (hydro) cycle then plant life will change , and more than likely favour less diverse ecosytems .

Global heating may exist , but the better question is ensuring photosynthetic capacity as that is the moderator of gasesous exchange , that requires a different sort of responsibility that carbon credits .

The sun is still the biggest heating effect (or signal)on the planets surface (we shouldnt forget tectonic and molten core is another source), travell 4 miles up in the atmosphere and its a regular -60oC , travell 100 miles up and its -270 oC , so there is somthing quite special about the surface and the first 2 miles of atmosphere in that it is "just right" to allow the chemisrty of life to occure and reproduce .

Global heating is mostly based on what is happening on the surface and in those 2 miles of atmosphere and very little to do with electronic transfers of carbon taxation , the last time I checked my spare euros were not doing anything more than collect dust , not making O2 nor absorbing CO2 , the economy of the chemistry of life is not based upon money , but on complex and intricate ecosystems , money only arrived on the scene some 4000yrs ago compared to the 2.5bn years since life got going beyond pools of sludge .

responsibilty is far more important than money with 6bn people living on the planet turning more of nature to there own needs and intercepting the cycles and balances in such a wreckless ways as we have done so far !

As I stand outside my local dive
tonight having a nice smoke the possibility of an overheated climate has some appeal .

Bloody moderated! They wouldn't print my drivel. Whats point of asking for opinions if you only listen to the ones that agree with you?
Hopefully they will get battered by people like us nevertheless. I suppose they have to read all the comments even if they don't print them.

Cambridgeshire County Council Launches “Non-Whites Only” IT Training Scheme

The Conservative Party-controlled Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) has launched an IT skills training programme open only to non-white people, while at the same time announcing cutbacks of millions to its frontline services.

The latest shocking display of Tory hatred for white British people has come with an announcement by Antonio Callisto, a CCC employee in charge of running “diversity” projects, that free basic IT training is now available to people who “are 16yrs+ from African, Bangladeshi, Caribbean, or Pakistani communities.”

I'm with Catflap. 'Man' made global warming. Women did it. Catflap states that we (men) were happy in our caves until the women started nagging us. Well in our household wifey's girls' weekend away involves a spa hotel with a manicure, pedicure and make-over; hubby's weekend away involves ... a cave and a bivy bag - a bottle of cheap whisky if he's lucky.

Thank God it was Eve that took a bite of the apple - otherwise we'd never have heard the last of it.

There's a lot of CO2 involved in the production of high heel shoes and handbags.

Interesting point electro kevin, did Harriet name it man made global warming to further make men nasty :).

Jeremy nearly got some decent shells in on Labours record on QT, good effort shame he decided upon decency (salutes) I dont see why intelligent ben should still be smiling or patronising the new poor on labours legacy .CW cant explain why I feel like I want to really put some boot into Labour , but its just this feeling they lied when in office and now are lying again when in opposition . An appology seems like a lite thing for what they really deserve .

However Willets is perhaps on the money , and whilst everyone realed at shock horror idea of privitising university education on QT ,CW thought it was a better idea the more I mulled it over ."recruiter pays ?".
Uni ed should be means tested , fine no problem if youve plenty of money pay for your kids uni ed .

I agree some of the universities have lost there way , but how do you fund what may be termed less ecnomicly important courses or for that matter the high cost ones which use materials rather than trips to librarys or gallerys .

nurses, doctors, dentists , surgeons, physiotherapists ,pharmacists, (not sure about physcologists theres too many of them ): seem to have there further education sorted although there is a lot of expensive choice.

army , navy , airforce know what there on about and produce some top rate technical apprentices as well as some decent senior staff :being as were at war seems like reducing there funding wouldnt be a good idea .

police : well They do inhabit there own world of education ,I keep meaning to ask what each container of those belts they now carry and CPS is a pain , but cant really do without training them properly .

So back to ordinary unis : science and engineering unis could earn a few bob by doing commercial viable research and testing , if they patent somthing let it go to university .encourage business to use universities facilities .

make degrees 2yrs long with further additional term to refine or specialise if needed for work , inconjunction with making A levels harder , ie use A levels to shorten degrees , have summer school for any degree students who cant understand algebra or maths with mechanics or statistics (useual suspects in struggling).

I would suggest one pot , so that rich patrons dont just favour who they want and that things like botany, palentolology, classical studies , ancient languages, english , history, geography ,music, art, modern langauges dont disappear.

Dont really know what to do with higher degrees than Basic degree , some contribute back to education some dont , but no point in putting a cap on genius , just a matter of how its funded .

putting effort in A level may have much wider benefits overall and give the good teachers a career path , although prefer grammarschool model for them and they are useually located in towns and cities of home . so funding would shift . you might need technical/A levels which are beyond normal school facilities .

If your grades mean you cant go to uni , then enjoy the world of work or services.

being as going onto A level may need to be gatekeeped , if you dont get the grades , become a trades apprentice or join armed forces or put your youth to work. if still cant find work phone simon huges and ask him if hes an eletist wonk who cant stand people who work for a living.

Last night the site seemed to be stuck at 709 comments, however it's now 855, and mine made it through moderation. There are plenty of anti AGW ones to balance out the Eco Loons.

Not that I suppose it will make a blind bit if difference....

The Telegraph link is good, and most commenter's have seen through the scam - one even mentioned the "World Government" plan.

Watching one of my favourite films, Fahrenheit 451, and i just realised the firemen could be cast as Village People with those leather caps. Plus that open top fire engine would never pass a risk assessment in todays Elf N Safety culture.

Most dissappointing.
