The BBC and "Climate Change"

A luxury retirement

Has anyone else noticed a massive "push" this week by Pravda to tell us we are all wrong when we look out at the frozen snowy British landscape in the middle of winter and say "fuck me, it's 'taters!"?

Guess why....

The man responsible for looking after the fat pensions of the boys and girls at the BBC is a climate change fanatic, and he is part of an international group of investment managers who bust a gut to invest in 'climate change' schemes. He's called Peter Dunscombe, and he runs the £8.2bn corporation pension fund, advising trustees on a day-to-day basis about their investments. Mr Dunscombe, who addresses conferences about 'ethical investments', is also chairman of the Institutional Investment Group on Climate Change(IIGCC), which has 47 members and manages four trillion euros' worth of investments; yes, four trillion. Their goal is to find as many 'climate change' investment opportunities as possible:

The IIGCC Investor Statement on Climate change was launched in October 2006. Asset owners and asset managers who signed the Statement committed to increasing their focus on climate change in their own processes and in their engagement with companies and governments.

So now we really know why BBC staffers are so fanatical about 'climate change'. It's naked self-interest. In 2008, there were 18,736 contributors to the BBC pension fund; every man jack of them benefits from climate alarmism.

(h/t anonymous eagle-eyed B-BBC contributor)

Update: I've been going through the latest BBC Pensions Trust report, and it reveals that Helen Boaden, who is the overall boss of the BBC's news and current affairs operation, was appointed to the trust in 2008. So the woman who tells environment reporters such as Roger Harrabin and Richard Black that the science is settled also works to maximise the returns of the pension fund with Peter Dunscombe. I thought that needed spelling out fully, just in case any subtleties might be missed.

Brilliant stuff, OH. Plug this enough and it might just implode. Which, given the Militurd bros. are up to the troll-like eyebrows in AGW filth, might be a many-birds-one-stone type of deal.

Well done old son great scoop.

I've been banging on all day about biased political reporting, I want the bastards to disclose party affiliations including past and future voting intentions before they interview Mp's.

Help me oit if you can

Well, when you're right, you're right. Do not alter your meds.

Worth a punt to the Serious Fraud Office? Surely if Pravda have nothing to hide, then they have nothing to fear by being investigated?

The IIGCC were party to a joint statement published earlier this month fronted by the United Nations Environment Programme, Finance Initiative which called for "... the U.S. and other governments to quickly adopt strong national climate policies that will establish a stable investment climate and thus spur low-carbon investments to reduce emissions causing climate change."

It continued with "At December’s Copenhagen Climate Change Summit it was estimated that private-sector investors will need to finance more than 85 percent of the global transition to a low-carbon economy.

The Investor Statement on Catalyzing Investment in a Low-Carbon Economy calls for rapid action on carbon emission limits, energy efficiency, renewable energy, financing mechanisms and other policies. The statement was endorsed by four groups representing more than 190 investors with more than US$ 13 trillion of assets – Investor Network on Climate Risk (INCR), Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) and the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI)."

Then there is GLOBE International, seemingly a quango of politicians trying to decide climate policy for the UN. Current president: Stephen Byers MP. Elliot 'What mortgage?' Morely is a past vice-president IIRC. The UK chapter is an All-Party Parliamentary Group.

Then there is Henry Derwent. Now President of the International Emissions Trading Association, former DEFRA man and also former High Representative of His Majesty Tony Blair for climate change bollocks at the Gleneagles G8 summit. The IETA had one of the largest lobby groups present at Copenhagen.(And if you want to confirm that yourself click this pdf link which lists the provisional attendees to that meeting. IETA's bit of the list is more than 9 pages of it.)

For my first attempt at video editing I've just cut a brief piece dedicated to everyone who has tirelessly challenged the "consensus" over the years:

The next step for climate sceptics.....CONTINUE FIRING!!

Keep on keeping on OH and everyone.

Including good ones like:

Jorg Hausleiter, MD, (of Deutsches Herzzentrum Munchen, Klinik an der Technischen Universitat Munchen in Munich, Germany) and his team investigated the magnitude of patient radiation exposure of these scans with 1,965 patients. They discovered that each scan exposed the patients to an estimated radiation dose equivalent to 600 chest x-rays.

Hello my loves Ron's back with an even bigger crack. X

One legged hookers of Glasgow and 96 buses.

What happens to all the two legged birds and where do they go? All I saw in Glasgow were one legged hookers. Under the current miasma of the Chilcot "inquiry" can this be pinned on Blair? Scotland's largest city has many admirable attributes but the buses are not one of these. £1.35 fare and no change. So my first night there it cost £2.00 of my benefits to get on a bus. Sheer madness. What is Maryhill, the Bronx? Bullet proof glass separating the driver from the natives. Still, compare and contrast to Belfast, where a short while ago I alighted from the luxurious Stena ferry only to see two hapless punters running after the 96 bus as it roared away empty. Dear Metrobus, here is an idea. The 16.30 ferry arrives, disgorging foot passengers. Why not have a driver willing to let them get aboard the bus before it departs at 16.35 for Donegall Square/City Hall? Just a thought. Oh, Travelodge, get your receptionist to look up from "The Sun" whilst grunting "£69 a night for single and telling me the drunken young boy I had attempted to smuggle in would add to the bill." What a fucking liberty! I had to bone him in the car park in sub zero temps....Oooh matron. My next blog is on old dogs, my old mum and sister.

Hey there, CW. Do you suspect Lib/Lab would try to implement the alternative vote system in time for the next GE? I wondered about that a bit ago - it's crass, obviously, but not beyond the realms of possibility, for a no-boom, world saver, such as Brown.

Apparently, Brown intends to stay on, even if Labour are defeated. Generous to a fault, it would seem.

listen closely, you will rember this for years to come - EU DAVE is NWO. said...

Labour bonkers?

Yoou will find EU Dave has backed Turkey from the start.

The first thing Dave will do is flood the country and finish it off.

and let`s not forget EU Dave is still trying to put a NWO climate hoax bag over our heads as he beats us with the NWO tax and fairy dust trade.

Please try and keep up and ignore the phoney the left right games they play.

ANY change in the voting system will be to ensure you have LESS power, though seeing as we are already owned by the EU and our goverment has rendered itself pointless then perhaps it makes not a jot what frigging system they use.

perhaps the change would be a distraction (look at all this lovely democracy we are taking - er i mean giving you), again to ensure you get less power while you are distracted.

remember these are the same people who bought in corrupt postal voting and even when it was shown to be corrupted and needless - unless you are corrupt, they still cling to it.

in short they shit in your face, over and over again and yet we still get the odd moron cheerleading the tory and labour hollow parties.

now that is insane!

o/t:

NEARLY three-fifths of the growth in jobs under Labour during a decade in power was directly or indirectly created by the state, new research shows

In all, the researchers calculate that of the 2.24m jobs created in Britain under new Labour until 2007, fewer than 1m were true private sector jobs, while 1.27m were in this wider public sector. In the West Midlands there was a net fall of nearly 37,000 in private sector jobs, offset by a 105,000 rise in state and para-state work. In the northeast, 79% of new jobs were state-dependent, compared with 41% in London and the southeast.

Well, there it is; in black and white, so to speak.

Then their will be no alternative sources of infomation the public can spread and share.

Then we are nothing more than directionless slaves.

of course it's all about vested interests.......bbc staff get very well paid+perks..........

but i suggest that cmd will do nothing...why?

because he too wants a govt. mouthpiece and the plebs are stuck with the fee......the bbc broadcasts all over the world and in many different languages..........

http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/languages/index.shtml

the bbc also monitors other broadcasts!
http://www.monitor.bbc.co.uk/

spying in reality."Caversham Park is the workplace for a united nations of 400 people, who quickly, efficiently and systematically distil the essence of what the world's media - radio, television, press and the internet - are reporting. They trawl 3,000 sources, all open. Its role is "reporting foreign news media comprehensively and accurately without bias or comment".

This is a global duty shared with its US sister service, the Foreign Broadcast Information Service: a plaque marking the first 50 years of partnership (1941-91) sits on the waiting room wall, and celebrates the "ever-increasing flow of timely information". Caversham was put on a firm footing as the second world war started, famously listening in to Nazi radio broadcasts. The FBIS has some staff on the site."

so nobody is going to disband the state mouthpiece...goeballs would have just loved to have had this much tech at his disposal!

Am I missing something here?

The head of BBC News has a financial interest via her pension plan in a certain set of pro-MMGW companies being successful and also has it in her power to affect what's broadcast on MMGW via her managerial role.

Presumably the nice people in the BBC Standards department who won't let us call terrorists terrorists aren't too bothered about a major financial conflict of interst?

Business ethics?
