Cameron and a fake call for 'change'

The power which a multiple millionaire, who may be my neighbour and perhaps my employer, has over me is very much less that which the smallest functionaire possess who wield the coercive power of the state, and on whose discretion it depends whether and how I am able to be allowed to live or work.

Hayek

Under Labour the growth of the jobsworth state functionary has increased ten/twenty fold in twelve short years. If 'Call Me Dave' has started his election campaign today he has started on a course of superficial 'change'. It is just a change of the boys at the top of a dysfunctional and corrupt system. He is not the revolutionary that is needed, he is the school prefect who wants to be head boy. He needs the same rotten system to exist for him to get to the top of the dung heap

The expenses scandal happened, Cash For Peerages happened, The Iraq Invasion happened, a Government came to power that did not represent sixty five per cent of the people of this country. De Menezes died in a hail of bullets, his killers promoted not censured. We are trillions in debt, with money borrowed from our grandchildren

It has to stop, now this year

"Cast Iron Dave" is the biggest phony cunt since Ted Heath in the 70s and BLIAR in the 90s. Did you hear his new sound-bite this morning? It's "We cannot go on like this." Know where he got it? Off Guido's site. I really hate it when these cunts don't attribute.
Cameroon is basically just the next Treasonous sell-out cunt waiting in line to stick his fucking snout in the trough. Then it's back to fucking usual for another 5 years of personal enrichment. Scum!

Who needs a political party broadcast slot or a leader's debate when we have Mr Choudray funnelling untold votes our way?

Field Marshall Watkins said...

I don't know anyone who is voting for any of the Three Demons.

I love how this PR twits use phrases with variable meanings in order to obfuscate their objectives.

Change.

Change what?

Just Vote for Change. Change is good right?

Wasn't that the same slogan used to promote Hitler before he was elected.

Change you can't believe in.

J Demetriou said...

So what are you going to do about it Holby?

Sod all, apart from promote your lovely green coloured site.

Talking the talk, and as ever, little by way of walk.

yeah yeah yeah, I'm asking a simple fucking question, it's not hard. I'll open it up to you jerks too, if you like.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

Apart from piss and moan piss and moan? Mr 'Direct Acshun' himself, who loves taking piccies of himself in a mask, talks the talk, but where is this system shift going to come from and how?

I'm all up for radical solutions, myself. Just a shame that shameless self promotion doesn't figure into the whole solution thing that is needed.

I'll patiently wait until I read something interesting and viable. Now, where was that copy of Tolstoy I had lying around...?

"Change you can believe in", Obama-style, no doubt.

He's already nailed his colours to the mast with his nifty footwork on his "cast-iron" guarantee.

Expect climate change to be high on the agenda as most Tory bods have shares in 'green' companies.

Speaking of which, Pachauri is for the knackers yard, if Monckton is successful. Monckton's going to pursue him for fraud in India. Watch him on the Alex Jones show (aired today).

I know what Im doing JD. The day the election is called I am donating £250 to a party which is not one of the 3. Money will help finance the adverts and the leaflets which are the only way non big 3 messages get out.

Change indeed. Anyone but the 646. So lets all do it. Sponsor a lampost.

PMS, Demetriou? Or just jealousy?

"PMS, Demetriou? Or just jealousy?"

No. Frustration that the Libertarian agenda is falling on deaf ears. It's a battle of who can be most "out there" and still command a minor following.

J Demetriou said...

I guess a donation towards someone is something. Will you be getting your wallet out, Holby? Or are your arms as short as your pockets long?

Anon: yeah, proper jealous, me. I really wish I were Holby. It's true. I go to bed at night praying to wake up and be him. I'm usually disappointed though. Gutting.

J Demetriou said...

"It's a battle of who can be most "out there" and still command a minor following."

Is it? Who is involved in that one then, because I'm not a protagonist as far as I'm aware.

Weston Bay said...

Real change is not on the political agenda this year. Effectively what we're being asked to do is vote for a change of line managers. Our political elites have, by their own volition, given themselves very little room for maneuver.

Sidelined said...

Sometimes it is better to lose and do the right thing than to win and do the wrong thing.

Do you stand alone and piss into the wind, or do you throw your lot in with my enemy's enemy?

Weston Bay said...

@Sidelined. Agree with your first paragraph. The second seems a bit too fatalistic.

Sidelined said...

The first paragraph is for the romantics. The second is for the pragmatists.

Weston Bay said...

Actually the first paragraph could be interpreted as stick to your principles even if you lose some support. At least then you've set a benchmark around which others will have to relate.

One of the reasons we're in such a mess is that the main political parties abandoned pretty much everything they believed in in order to garner a few extra votes in those poxy 'marginal constituencies'.

The Tories are no longer Thatcherite and Labour long ago ditched it's belief in 'Clause 4' style socialism- which wasn't particularly 'socialist' in the first place.

Sidelined said...

Check out who said the first paragraph.

And as for the second,we can all stand for our own personal beliefs but power comes from leading the consensus, not telling them they're imbeciles in failing to recognise your intellect.

Weston Bay said...

I don't know who said the first paragraph. Please PLEASE don't tell me it was Hitler. I'll fuckin' shoot myself :(

Weston Bay said...

Btw consensus isn't something eternal and unmoveable. It can change but the time periods involved are much longer than a few months or years.

Sidelined said...

1. Worse than fucking Hitler,i assure you.
2. When the opposition to the junta that is buggins turn splinters into self righteous independant minorities, they make it easier for the momentum that is the establishment to bulldoze them into the dust. To make real change under the prevailing system you either have to include "Joe the plumber" as well as the chattering classes, or you try OH's path of total upheaval of the bent rulebook that the umpires constantly consult. Best wishes and God Speed to him, if only for his insistance on walking his own path and his large cojones! Each man must plot his own course through the "game".

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The NHS isn't just a symptom of what's wrong with the country, it's also a cause.

Why else would Afghans and Somalis flock to this country if it weren't for the free health care? Health care that isn't available in their country at any price? And anyone can have access to it.

The NHS is symptomatic of everything that's wrong with the country. Run by beaurocrats whose status is defined by the size of their budget and the number of staff they control. You'll never get them to reduce either, as it will mean a loss of status.
It's overmanned everywhere except where it matters. I'm undergoing treatment at my local hospital and I'm amazed at the numbers of non-medical staff walking the corridors with a file or clipboard under their arm. There are so many boltholes and hiding places that one could walk forever and never do any work. Just what do these people do anyway?
Then there's the unions. The public sector is almost the last bastion of their corrupt practices. They aren't going to allow any change to their cosy little earner are they?

The NHS is everything that's wrong with the country and more. It's the largest employer in the UK. Cameron daren't alienate them because they won't vore for him, and yet he must take an axe to it,or it will strangle us all.

Where is the leader with courage to take the NHS on? I don't see him or her anywhere on the horizon.

Another problem was with the dismantling of trade barriers. A lot of what we see crumbling around us today is a result of the intense pressure for free trade that we saw with a vengeance in the early 1980s. It decimated British manufacturing and the untold ancilliary jobs that depended on it. Whole communities collapsed as a result. But despite the much reduced tax take, we kept on spending like we still had a productive base to afford it. Now with the benefit of 30 years of hindsight, things are so much clearer.

I voted BNP in June and was pleasantly surprised when I heard that they got 2 MEP's.

I'll be voting the same again this year.

As far as I'm concerned they are the *only* real alternative to the shower of shite at Westmongster.

I was out shopping in town on the weekend &, as I walked back to the carpark I noticed, across the road on the other side of the carpark, two new 'wardens' of some sort - female, dayglo jackets, dark clothing & hats but no title ('POLICE' etc), belts/holsters hanging out of every orifice - surrounding some old chap with a dog. The bloke was about 80+, on sticks. No doubt they were our new Council Wardens (BullyBoys-R-Us)testing their powers. Cunts.

Holby: you should turn your attention to those functionaries 'cause they're the activists pushing this attempt to turn us all into serfs; the smallest amongst them are given their cue by the Mandarins. We need a return to the spoils system in this country and abolish the 'permanent secretary'. Think of the Registrar-General, a civil servant, Sir Sylvanus Vivian who in 1934 – yes, that’s right, nineteen thirty-four – originated the idea of “parasitic vitality” in respect of the ID cards he wished to introduce. [http://74.125.47.132/u/NO2ID?q=cache:QCemmfFYrTQJ:www.no2id.net/pledge/how.php+sylvanus&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&ie=UTF-8] When a political party in power loses an election, the Sir Humphreys should be replaced by civil servants who will cooperate in fulfilling the winning party's election pledges.
