Buy an airgun

Sorry for the lack of blogging recently. Been busy abroad and stuff.

Meanwhile, I see the Police (against whom I wreaked havoc today) have a new wheeze. Robots to watch over our every move. No, really. Drone planes designed to watch the Taliban having a shit so they could kill them are now being used to watch us having a shit. Presumably for the same reason. We are enemies of the State. Our State. 646 arrogant, power crazed, deluded crooks are running the country into the ground for their own personal gain and the Police are instructed to watch 61,000,000 of us with robots. Just in case.

It is coming. They are watching our Emails, our phone calls, our movements, our web site visits, our shopping, our children, our eating habits, our sexual habits, our driving habits, the places we visit, what we say, what we do, what we think.

And to think we spent 40 years frightened of Communism and their lack of personal freedoms.

I know who the real enemy is. And how few of them there really are. It is going to get a lot worse before it gets any better. Bring it on.

If East Germany can do it, so can we.

The military version of these "Drones" is designed to fly/cruise at 20,000 feet .. making it invisible from the ground .. so no matter how powerful an Air Rifle/Shot gun you have you ain't gonna hit one ..

BUT .. knowing the British Police, I rather suspect they'll plump for the "bargain-basement" model .. without all the sophisticated self-protection "gizmos" which the military version has ....

There are people out there with far more technically attuned brains than me ......

Ooh Matron. Free Tibet. Up Rons jacksey. Now then that should have satisfied the troll cunt with the I.Q of an empty cupboard. OK back to the debate. Yes the police have "air superiority" how does one negate this?

I have in mind to publish a blog or website dedicated to personal counter-surveillance techniques and tools. It would cover everything from tips about PC security & housekeeping, through to disabling security cameras, or, now, bringing down police spy droids.

However, it will have to wait until I am safely abroad; anyone who ran a site while they were in the UK wouldn’t last a week.

LOL, remember the Edgeley Optica plane?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgley_Optica

Plod wasted piles of cash on that and it was grounded.

Aside from that, anyone can make remote camera RC planes now. Vid cams especially for those are about £50 upwards.

Plus of course the Taleban recently hacked into the video link of the yank drones.

Let them waste the cash on them instead of speedcams. They're too inept to use high tech stuff.

Rather than preparing for guerilla warfare, let's launch a massive campaign of civil disobedience as well as boycotting the election.
And maybe we should set up our own representative government

Perhaps the idea of scanners is to assess our bodily value.

I did an interview on this today, I said that the next step is that these drones are armed, as in Israel/Iraq/Afghanistan, and that the drones don't shout 'Stop Armed Police'- but then again they did not bother to say that in the De Menezes case either.

Cap'n H, my .308 will travel a tad over 8 miles if fired upwards at 45 degrees. Not sure how far that huge pill will go if fired straight up, but it should just about reach.
As you say, spotting the bloody thing might prove the biggest problem.

boycotting the election sounds an excellent idea, especially now we could get filmed marking our x - but if you're one of those democratic believers who casts a vote religiously, please avoid the temptation of putting an x against the cia's preferred candidate, david cameron, (conservative), put the x right through the cunt's name, he is a wrong-un. the warlock, obama, moved to regulate the banks and his own credit ratings at a sweep of his messianic hand, but through lack of due care and attention, crashed the stock markets - david cameron thought obama's reforms "a breath of fresh air", fuck knows what the right honourable gentleman's farts must smell like? cameron's is on the same team as:

paul staines (trader in freedom)

david lammy (a graduate of the harvard institute of cia grooming, who majored in presidential cock-massage studies)

jocelyn jee esien and kwame kwe-armah (members of the white house gospel choir)

all the politicians and celebrities who were oh so quick to celebrate obama's whitewash victory, yet after one year of the warlord obama's occupation of murdering non-regulation black people not astute enough to be born christian, still remain critically inert.

dirty stinking cia slags the lot.

Pierrepoint. Basic ballistics informs us that unpowered projectiles travel in an approximate parabola and, for a projectile with initial angle of projection 45 dergrees, the maximum height attained is exactly one-half the range. Therefore your 8-mile projectile would reach a height of approximately 21,000 feet, enough to satisfy the Cap'n's figure of 20,000 feet cruising. Of course, firing the thing straight up will get it higher.

When I were a lad, I used to hang about with a model aeroplane club. The one thing they did before switching on their transmitters was to check that nobody was using the same frequency and change crystals in their radio gear accordingly.

Of course, it would be terrible if someone else was operating on your frequency...

Shooting down a drone at 20,000 feet is going to be difficult unless you happen to have a ground to air missile
handy.
The drone will be at its most vulnerable when taking off or landing
when they could easily be taken out with something as basic as a shotgun.
Even better target them on the ground.

A shotgun of any guage is a short distance tool. Outside 40 yards and you may as well spit at your target!
Ps. For 12 Gauge or smaller, I mean.

8 & 4 bore are an entirely different ball game.

When I was in the TA Royal Medical Corps for about three weeks before being chucked out, I saw a picture of a gun. Sadly that is the limit of my military experience apart that is from hanging around Knightbridge Barracks trying to pickup members of the Household Cavalry for a game of hide the sausage.
I know a nutty professor who invents things, maybe he could design a killer drone? It would have to have a low carbon footprint and use human droppings for fuel, as he is very eco minded. Fuel wouldn't be a problem as I am full of shit.

Who gave the government permission to spend our money in this way?

All those supporting this measure need to be sent an extra special message at the general election.

Who are the lucky lobbyists whose companies are benefiting from this technology? Who are the MPs/ministers who pushed this through?

Why does the Times not try to find out before the blogosphere does? It might save their newspaper - which is rumoured to be in trouble.

The police had better decide who's side they are on because when the battles start, if they are not on our side, they will be punished for being on the side of the enemy. I had thought, for a few years, that we had once again a police service; that was there to serve and protect their paymasters, the local inhabitants. But since 1997 they have become an occupying force. And we all know what happens to occupying forces, eventually.

ruth,

boycott election - sure.

civil disobedience - only if this is justified in the particular circumstances and arises as a consequence of an individual's independent choice.

our own representative government - not a good idea as we would need to create 60 million of them. plus, we'd have to mug a whole heap of grannies and nick countless kids' pocket money to build just one replica of the palace of westminster.

The easiest way to tackle drones would be to try to work out how the things are being controlled, and subvert that. Once done, send the drone out on a sightseeing trip somewhere; an extreme close-up of the local magistrates court might prove interesting, as might testing out the craft's submersible capabilities in the settling tanks of the local sewage works.

Good luck targetting the control channels if they use the military models...they use dedicated satellite channels. The ones used in Afghanistan are controlled from Alaska I believe.

Of course knowing out glorious leaders they will go out to competitive tender and be supplied by EDS or someone similar with an RC spitfire from modelzone with a strapon camera at a cost of £1m each...

WV blelut - the noise it makes when one of these flies into a bystanders head.
