The Insanity Of The State
A sixty year old businessman is spending Christmas behind bars, despite having overpaid VAT after a three year criminal investigation brought about by HMRC
To ensure that he could not adequately fight back or mount a defence, HMRC seized his assets. No innocent until proven guilty for people who have offended the sensibilities of the State whose credo is the money belongs to us, unless proved otherwise.
The Judge has so little independent freedom of action under this Rotten Parliament, despite there being more than adequate evidence that there is significant doubt that the man is guilty in the Judge's mind, that he has to go to jail, pending an appeal.
What does the Gauleiter from HMRC say on the matter-
Peter Avery, assistant director of HMRC Criminal Investigations, welcomed the sentence, saying: “This sentence will serve as a deterrent to anyone who thinks that tax fraud is a risk worth taking.”
I have actually received £6000 in compensation in the last five years from HMRC because their own staff did not understand the VAT rules on land, and had written a completely incorrect interpretation of the regulations. It took me a year to prove that they were wrong.
The State are making it up as they go along, the 'authorities' have targets that have to be met 'pour encourager les autres', they creat obscure complicated laws, that they do not understand themselves, then create confiscation laws to ensure the individual cannot fight back.
I am aware of at least nine cases of this sort of thing going on at present, I filed my defence yesterday at 4pm. Including eleven redacted emails secured under FOI legislation, of civil servants and others who do not want to be identified or their emails made public. 2010 is going to be an interesting year.
Not one of you is safe. Happy Christmas !
