Well done on your walk, OH. Sorry I couldn't be there.

It's time all of us showed this Government, which rules by the creation of nebulous 'fears', that we are not afraid of them.

Oldrightie 6 November 2009 11:11

Very well done all who "walked". Such small beginnings can become the stuff of acorns!

Rab C. Nesbitt 6 November 2009 11:14

I've been online trying to book flights for next year but they only take booking ten months in advance!

See you all next year, (all being well).

bofl,  6 November 2009 11:46

well done o/h and others.....

i found it all a bit depressing.......

a police car tailing us......
the police talking on their radios...trying to fund out what this 'protest ' was about.

behind you lot in the photo by the gate is a huge barrier and there were coppers with machine guns.just what are they afraid of in this new jerusalem?

downing st. reminded me a little of nazi germany.monolithic grey buildings hiding a house where so many deaths have been plotted....

and it was the first time i had actually been in Whitehall.....

on the Cenotaph it reads 'the glorious dead'............

hmmmm............i wonder if anyone asked THEM whether being shot, stabbed, gassed, fried, burned and blown to bits was in fact 'glorious'?

over the last 12 years (especially) we have seen a creeping coup d'etat and they laugh at us every day.

anyway even though i had to duck out early it was fun and i met some nice, intelligent people .......

What to do about Julia Kirkbride? – wont anybody help me….
Im as weak as Pi**, and hope the people of Bromsgrove will understand if I keep somewhat quiet. Hopefully the nasty mess may go away?

When did it all go wrong?

shitting in our faces

I bet the likes of Foot and Straw wouldn’t have needed much encouraging from then Kremlin. Probably banging on the Soviet Embassy door offering their services for free.

VotR 6 November 2009 12:48

Brilliant, OH. I hope MPs get the message. And then fuck off. Time for a change, eh?

Doc Trough,  6 November 2009 12:52

Absolutely excellent stuff OH. I so wanted to join you all but had a prior engagement. Holding 5/11 free for next year, but perhaps there'll be a 'Fuckoffandtakeallyourfuckingfuckerswithyou' parade before then?

essex75 6 November 2009 13:28

The "Enemy Class" are also using references from the film V for Vendetta.

On the Toady programme today 2hrs 50mins 27secs onwards

"Strength through Unity"
EU sloganeering

They just don't care anymore, Bastards!

Mercury Falling,  6 November 2009 13:39

I suspect matters will come to a head at some point before the next Nov.5 so don't bother booking your flight so far ahead. Next year shortly after the election is going to be very rough indeed. The coppers will *really* be on their toes for months on end.

Eddie the Jew,  6 November 2009 13:43

You look like a bunch of fucking Chinamen! Ah-so!

I have just one thing to add: How Long is a Chinaman

Well done fellas.

Billy Blofeld 6 November 2009 14:52

Great video......

A fabulous day out I thought.....

My thoughts on the day are here....

SO17,  6 November 2009 15:36

Well done to you all.
In the context of the shameful shower of shit in power the men in tights etc will be out of place.
The point of the rules, customs and the building itself was that as a whole it would be greater than the sum of its parts.
A great institution in other words.
Wiser men than us over hundreds of years developed Parliament and these quirky customs had a reason.
To remind the people in power that they are not eternal. That a power greater than them presides.
In my day all the 'Men in Tights' were ex NCOs and a large proportion of the security were ex armed forces.
Alas things have changed as we have found with the useless serjeant at arms Gill Paye.
Going back to the good old days may be the best way forward.

TheBigYin 6 November 2009 16:04

Well done OH, great show by you all.

No I'm off to d/load this video, got through it, frame by frame, and try to unmask Dick Puddlecote...I just know he's there...somewhere!

in the real world things arent just mincing around doing photo ops and making worthless speeches.

V,  6 November 2009 16:29

I was there. You couldn't fail to see me. I was in a Guy Fawkes mask.

Ampers 6 November 2009 17:24

Zambia have the answer to crime, they introduced a new rule three years ago and crime has dropped by 50% - just for one rule!

Here is a message I have just received from South Africa on GoogleTalk:

Willem: friends of mine just came back from Zambia - there the prisons do not feed the prisoners - the family must feed them. They implemented this 3 years ago - and crime dropped by 50%!!!

Cheers,

Ampers

Superb camera-dodging from me again. I'm getting rather good at that. :-)

Twas a good day out OH, my belated thoughts here

Anonymous,  6 November 2009 20:26

Was THAT it?

Fucking hell.

Always next year I suppose.

Rogerborg 6 November 2009 20:29

Utterly pointless.

But then again, most worthwhile things are.

You know, I may even go for a walk in the sun next year.

tomfinnie 6 November 2009 20:34

Got some photos from yesterday up, finally

Photos

Was good to meet everyone, next year I reckon we need to finish the evening off with a big fuck off bonfire somewhere

John Steed 6 November 2009 20:41

If anyone nicks a Popy tin slot the fuckers, there was no link when I looked. I said...if anyone steals a tin for Poppy day slot the fuckers...constable are you there? Constable...you only "have a go" when it is 6 to 1 in your favour...constable...Beshanivsky, fucking hell I am STILL laughing!

Old Holborn 6 November 2009 21:23

Rogerborg

Completely pointless, I agree

The 646 fuckwitt MP's who read my blog, tom harris's blog and Guido Fawkes's blog (wait for Guy TV on Monday) have absolutely no idea who I am

All they know is I have the courage of my convictions. And I'm happy to come to them if they won't come to me. On THEIR turf.

Now put Guidos readership, my readership, Tom's readership, Devils Kitchens readership, Tory Bears readership and the rest of the blogosphere that covered a "silly little walk" together and the people who need to know now know.

And you? What is your contribution?

Oh yeah. You called it pointless.

TheFatBigot 7 November 2009 00:03

I'm sorry I wasn't able to join you this year (especially sorry because you owe me a pint). More strength to your elbow Mr Holborn, the word is spreading.

So true, his blog has managed to push my youtube viewing figures on certain vids from the usual pissy 300, into the 6,000 mark. And that's just the few of his readers that actually bother watching my crap. Bloggers like OH and co are leading the new media, the message is getting out.

banned 7 November 2009 03:45

Congrats to you and the other quiet strollers OH, showing the courage of my convictions.

Rogerborg 7 November 2009 09:20

OH, old stick, you did a thing that was good in and of itself, but please don't cheapen it by deluding yourself that small scale peaceful protest can change anything, in any way, at all, ever.

If you actually have some method of fixing the system, then please don't hoard it. Whip it out and let's get to it.

Giolla 7 November 2009 12:15

@tomfinnie, your photo's don't seem to be accessible.

@Rogerborg, most things start as a small scale and the interest amongst the people I know in this walk has increased massively since last year. It may not take that long for this to cease to be that small scale.

Anonymous,  7 November 2009 16:52

Well done all you people who 'walked' - even more next year?
