The Lynch Mob

Tim Montgomery over at ConservativeHome is in a tizzy because he fears that MPs who don't deserve to be hung drawn and quartered are going to have a "hard time." I hope he's right.

646 people have used and abused the power we bestowed upon them, on our behalf, not just to rob us and steal from us for personal gain but to shit in our faces whilst doing it. They have created thousands of new laws that demand our stict and total obedience. Laws that now see old men standing OUTSIDE a remote country pub on a dark winters night in the rain. To smoke a cigarette. After paying the 646 three quarters of the price in tax. Or fining him £2000 if he lights up inside. Or fining him £80 if he is late putting 20p in the parking meter. After taking half of his hard earned money in income tax.

These laws were not requested by us, the people. YOU created them simply because you could. These are the 646 spitting in our faces. Whilst robbing us blind.

Now the 646 are now running for cover from an ever more angry mob, furious at the injustice bestowed upon them by the "political elite".

You created the mob guys. You did it. Like children teasing a snoozing Rottweiler with a pointed stick, you ignored the warning signs. And the hand that feeds you is now going to smack you very very hard indeed. The Rottweiler is turning into a snarling, dangerous animal.

And when we've finished with you, we are going to turn on all our representatives from the Lords to local councils, from the Police to the Judiciary and show them that we, the people have fucking well had enough of your sneering and piss taking ways. Enough of your corruption and "vested interests", enough of your petty laws, enough of your false authority over decent, honest and hardworking people.

Lynch mobs are born from injustice and a lack of power. We can change that very quickly indeed.

I had the displeasure of using Heathrow T1 the other day, where there are now even "no smoking" areas outside.
Of course I ignored these but I now MAKE IT A POINT of put my fags out on irritating "no smoking" signs. If others do this, hopefully they will become unreadable.

Not sure about this, you're drifting into hysteria in my view. The ConHome article is actually very reasonable, if you simply savage every single MP, regardless of what they have done or not, then what is the point in not troughing?
Are you saying Peter Lilley or Frank Field (or other examples if you prefer) should be treated the same as Jacqui Smith or Baroness Scotland? To my mind those that troughed should go to jail. However, those that chose not to in the midst of a system practically begging them to (not a justification, just a reality) should be encouraged to pick up the pieces and try to actually do some good. Lynch them all at your peril.

My argument is that we no longer need MPs.

Trust is like virginity. You can only lose it once.

Every MP should be savaged.

It is not enough to excuse them by claiming that they were not "at it" like the others.

They KNEW troughing was going on and said NOTHING - in effect thay tacitly approved.

Every MP who voted for, or abstained, from some of the most draconian abuses of power are guilty and, because they then billed the taxpayer for the privilege, cannot be pilloried enough.

Backbenchers are there to represent their constituency in parliament, not to represent a party in their constituency as a 2yes-man" seeking a cushy number in government.

All MPs including the opposition have been shit otherwise the country wouldn't be in such a state.
All long term strategic planning for Britain has been neglected in persuite of short term headline grabbing initiatives by all sides of the House.
If you look at an MPs expenses in all its forms as a bonus then fuck em they have just lost it .

you are aware that Frank Field has also been asked to pay back money and is most upset by this? So it would seem that he too may have been troughing even if not quite so heavily as the others.

What we really need is a list of those that haven't been asked to pay back anything or apologize and then we can just chuck them out for doing nothing about the troughing of others

Reading all the bullshit on Tims site reminds me why I'm a libertarian and not a Tory.

These people need to be kicked into the real world. When I was nineteen, due to the inland revenue cocking up my tax code. I ended up owing nearly two thousand pounds. I have never forgotton the ruthless, relentless way they pursued me over this debt, which I was unable to pay back in a lump sum. Trying to make it my fault, because I should have advised them my tax code was wrong, What the fuck would a teenager know about tax codes. Every last penny had to be paid back by installments. It's the people like me who see the double standards, whose blood is boiling. Standing down at the next election is not good enough. Pay it back. All of it! You bastards!!!

GCooper said...

I'm with Newgate's Knocker on this. Both the Revenue and HM Customs (now the same thing) have driven people to suicide with their vicious, unaccountable, hounding.

Not a word of protest from these bastards in Parliament about that.

So what's sauce for the goose...

And then, when we've imprisoned a few MPs, perhaps we can start on the taxmen for their crimes against common decency.

Agree with Newgates Knocker. We spend our time filling in nonsensical forms ad nauseam, resisting threats from the tax office, watching ads saying our car will be crushed if we don't cough up a fuckload of our money, being ordered to sort our own waste (which we pay the council for) or be given a criminal record. We can't take pics of our kids growing up or be dubbed a paedo, we are watched, monitored, tracked and distrusted. We pay the cunts a fuckload of money for this treatment, then, when the day is over, they tell us our methods of winding down are unhealthy and they are going to stop us doing that too.

I don't give a shit if some feel hard done by. They passed all these laws and until they repeal the fucking lot of them and leave them alone, I hope they go insane with worry ... just as they are doing to us.

No pity.

Dick Puddlecote said...

edit: Leave 'us' alone. Obviously.

Tim got this completely wrong. Your snoozing rottweiler analogy is apt.

My sticking point is that MPs've exempted themselves from the vile laws and taxes they've imposed on the rest of us - and made our lives hell, while they live high on the hog. And they've b*ggered up the country and sold it to foreigners for grace and favour - theirs.

How can MPs possibly expect to remain "in touch" with the electorate if they are not subject to the laws they draft and fail to read? How can they attempt to impose on us their upside-down morality when it is plain they have none of any worth.

Nobody should be above the law. As such, until prosecutions for those guilty of fraud and tax-evasion are brought, justly, in the public's view, politicians will be viewed with suspicion and will find their fortunes diminished.

Unless, of course, the EU changes all that, and we descend further into totalitarian hell.

Just been toddling around in Germany. Lost count of the number of people who asked me why all men in Britain are suspected of being paedos. Thanks Harriet! Nice one. Good conversation piece.

But, quite honestly, I don't think that any politician there could get away with framing that sentiment in law.

They have signed over the running of the country to the EU so will someone tell me why we still have over 600 of these crooks stealing our money.

If I were an MP, I wouldn't be complaining about paying my expense back. I would just be grateful that I wasn't swinging from a lamp post somewhere.

Alright, I'm a big enough man to admit I got this one wrong. Newgate's Knocker and GCooper nailed it for me, you're right, stuff the lot of them I've been on the wrong end of that kind of nonsense once or twice. And the Frank Field example was a lazy one, sorry. Anyway, thank you all for setting me straight, sorry I live en Suisse (well, I'm not sorry, mainly I'm relieved!) otherwise I would be there on Nov 5th to support.

Just change "Government" for "Britain" and the answer is clear.

The MPs - one & all - deserve what they've got coming to them. Even the ones who didn't ostensibly trough were happy enough to stuff themselves with cheap food & drink in the Westminster food outlets - smoking as they did so while passing draconian tax laws & changing our other laws from 'innocent until proven guilty' into 'guilty until proven innocent'. Think about 'Contact Point' the new govt DB that will track kiddies from birth (and before) to 18 (and beyond). A DB that MP's kids can be excluded from. Cunts one, cunts all - and now overdue for their comeuppance. And that's without even considering how they've sold us out to the EU.

If everyone made a point of NOT voting for their incumbent MP we could clear the whole fucking lot out, every single one.

We hear men speaking for us of new laws strong and sweet,
Yet is there no man speaketh as we speak in the street.
It may be we shall rise the last as Frenchmen rose the first,
Our wrath come after Russia's wrath and our wrath be the worst.
It may be we are meant to mark with our riot and our rest
God's scorn for all men governing. It may be beer is best.
But we are the people of England; and we have not spoken yet.
Smile at us, pay us, pass us. But do not quite forget.

I have been in Germany recently and I was asked the same question about everyone being considered a paedo time and again. They cannot comprehend the attitude of our government towards its own people. A lot of people also remarked on how they feel they are entering some sort of sinister dictatorship when they land in London and see the armed thugs dressed up as Police, the bossy jobsworths in green jackets, the odious customs officials, the cameras. They all find it distinctly uncomfortable. I understand what they mean as you don't get such shitty treatment in other European airports.

I would go further than to show none of the MP's any mercy. All their quisling lackeys, enforcers and henchmen should get the same treatment as their corrupt masters. Every last one of them should have every vestige of power stripped from them and be disbarred from ever holding any position of power again.

Newgates Knocker Bravo and was it entirely coincidence that in the middle of this came the Courts decision that overpaid social security recipients need not pay the excess money back ? Precedent ? I think not.

As has been mentioned, all the MPs whether gross or minor troughers looked on in silence while their colleagues stole from us = Guilty.
