Authoritarian Tories Start As They Mean To Go On

Iain 'Nice Tie' Dale

Anyway, later this morning I am driving up to Norwich to do some by election campaigning today and tomorrow. I gather that all Tory candidates are supposed to clock in and out like schoolchildren and get forms signed. That won't be happening. What a shame my printer doesn't work.

Iain Dale

You are a rebel Iain !, trouble is this is how destiny Dave wants to run the country.

Authoritarian Tories now run the Local Government Associaton so WTF is this all about ?
This example from Devon but no doubt it's going on everywhere.

Transport campaign group praises council for pay-to-park move
in out of town shopping centres.

FOR the proposal:
Those in favour of the proposals, mooted by the Transition Exeter Transport Group (Fake Charity Alert!!! for starters ) say the move would create equality with businesses in the city centre, whose customers have to pay to park.
Exeter City Council’s 'executive committee' has backed the proposals These would see increased business rates which would be passed on to customers through parking charges.
Ed Beale, of the Transition Exeter Transport Group, “The next stage is that the Local Government Association will get ideas from different local authorities on this” ( Like Yours, gentle blog reader )

He added: “It is an equality issue. At the moment, from the point of view of parking, businesses in the city centre lose out relative to those which are out-of-town. "
Mr Beale said climate change was also a factor.
Things are going to change as a result of climate change especially in terms of the availability of oil".

No, Mr. Beale, the oil is still not running out and even your Mistress Hazel Blears does not demand that " All Shops Are Created equal !"
It's just you being a power crazy cunt sucking up to local councils and their need to generate income ( fair enough ) but posing behind false Greenery.

The Good Citizens of Exeter saw through you straight away.

comments Against the proposal
1 reader calling herself ‘mother of four small children’, said: “This is sickening. The cost of living is high enough.

BB Wolfe from the city called it “another cynical ploy to squeeze yet more money from the motorist via indirect taxation
And many many more but let's finish of with thiss heart-felt plea
"“It is laughable to think that charges at out-of-town supermarkets will encourage more people into the city centre — quite the opposite — I would shop at a supermarket in a neighbouring town.
So fuck you Mr Beale you control freak Tory-lite fascist trendy cunt.

Iain Dale is a failed Con MP. What more do you need to know?

He prefers the media limelight. It's easier, doesn't require much thought and gives him a nice feeling of being important. Fuck him.

Why is there a picture of Victor Meldrew accompanying this entry?

I wrote to Dave when he said he was going to devolve power to local people. I asked him if he would be handing back the power to allow smoking in Pubs etc to Landlords. He wrote back basically telling me to fuck off. Look at Boris, first thing he enacted was a ban. The Tories could be even worse than Labour when it comes to throwing their weight about. Fuck the lot of them.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is telling Tory voters what cunts they are for electing such pillocks.
