Pomp and Circumstance

Whilst the usual blogging suspects go into overload about the new speaker in the House of Commons, I would like to nail my colours to the mast.

Parliament is an outdated anachronism. Men in tights, shooting galleries, Smokers bars, late night sittings, whips, Black Rod, the Mace, Parliamentary Privilege and first past the post.

Stick it all up your arse. Sideways

A new speaker is not even rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic. Throw it all out, raze it to the ground and salt the earth.

I want democratically elected politicians, dedicated the serving their constituents, proportionately representative and with minimal powers over my life. I want a reduction in Government an anorexic would be proud of. I want the power they hold on our behalf returned to local councils, made of people who are not career arse lickers and can be held to account over a pint on a Friday night. I want local, federal law making by people I can talk to. I want referendums and I want representation. I want the fat bloated state starved.

Protect the borders, Police the streets. Everything else is down to me. And I can do it so, so much better than those 646 cuntwafting fucktards.

Be carefull what you wish for. We have a system of PR down here called MMP. It is fucked, ex junkies in the house and mad greenies. The list MP's are like lobby fodder on crack. Pandering to special interests. You will end up with less democracy than you have now.

If we reverted to good old fashioned traditions we would be so much better off. Capital punishment, no more immigration from anywhere but genuinely persecuted people, leave The EUSSR now and rebuild The Commonwealth. Home grown food and manufacturing. Lynch Tony Bliar and Jimmy Brown plus a few of their closest closet mates.
Make education a privilege not a right. If kids don't wish to learn put them in the fields and factories at 14 years old, not on the dole at 18.
Jail 65% of all politicians.

After having watched the circus and subsequent boys and girls club fawning over the new Speaker yesterday, I understand exactly how you feel OH.

A whole day given to this charade while men a dying in Afghanistan because none of these people could be bothered to turn up for the defence debate the day of the EU elections.

What a disgusting spectacle they were.

Too fucking right. What a load of shit all the old fashioned pomp and ceremony is. 'Dragged' to the chair my arse.

Also how come 50 of them were not even there to vote?

Scumbags the lot of them.

If the British institutions actually worked properly, then all the pomp and circumstance could be over looked.

But when the institutions don’t work, and let’s be honest, they haven’t worked for decades being corrupt to their rotten cores, all the pomp and circumstance is just the establishment pissing in our faces.

'I want the power they hold on our behalf returned to local councils'

Clearly your council is nothing like any I have come across or you would not want to give them and more power. The sheer incompetence and monumental waste of taxpayers money achieved by my council (Bridgend) makes me cringe. There would have to be a complete change of personnel before I would entertain giving them more responsibility.
