I Am Sorry On Behalf Of All Parties- Brown- Sorry For Getting Caught ?

Brown and Cameron simply do not get it at all. Sorry is just not good enough.

For Decades you have know that this troughing was going on. For FOUR years the Speaker has been trying to stop the public from finding out, The High Court ordered this information released a year ago, and you have stalled and stalled.

The Clerk to the Fees office has also been troughing, so had no incentive to stop payments to MP's

Only now that the information is in the public domain do you say sorry.

Not good enough, Parliament should be call an immediate election, the likes of Blears,Smith and others Right and Left, not allowed to stand for Parliament until a full investigation has been carried out. Tax avoided paid, Houses paid for by the taxpayer returned.

A Parliament mired in sleaze and corruption is one that should not be passing Laws for the rest of us.

Spot on, Guthrum.

These bastards have been merrily filling their boots whilst, at the same time, trying every trick in the book to put a stop to expenses publication.

And this wanker has the timerity to say 'sorry'!

Believe me, any politician or his representative from any of the mainstream parties will be taking his or her life into their hands if they knock I my door.

I think your last sentence is missing a "not".

They're so keen on allowing Sharia law. Cut their fucking hands off.

Obnoxio The Clown 11 May 2009 12:14

I can't help but feel that actually anyone caught with the slightest infraction should be slung out and barred from ever serving in the Commons AND the Lords again.

Possibly some jail time as well.

Just hands? Heads must roll...

bofl 11 May 2009 12:22

i believe that nowadays some criminals can have their homes seized, cash, cars in fact anything and sold off .......

well who made those rules?

what's good enough for the goose!

JD 11 May 2009 12:31

Last sentence is definitely missing a not, and the plural of MP is MPs, not MP's, although we now know they all belong to someone. Pedantically yours, JD.

electro-kevin 11 May 2009 12:42

It's the appology on behalf of ALL parties which is annoying me.

So predictable. Neutralise the taint by stating that everyone is as bad as each other. Retaining power is the motivation for this distribution of blame.

I'd gladly pay MPs thrice as much if only they were half as useless.

Ray Nerslane,  11 May 2009 12:46

@JD 12:31

It was once customary, and is still permissible, for apostrophes to appear in the plurals of abbreviations, (MP's, MOT's, CD's etc) although this is now less common.

This is not the same as the notorious 'greengrocer's apostrophe' (potato's, carrot's etc), which signifies illiteracy and general chav-like ignorance.

Yours even more pedantically, Ray

Mea Culpa everybody- I tend to get into full flow at times, but today I am multi tasking

My MP, Greg Barker, seems to have been on a different planet when he said, about the £320k he made over 27 months:

"It would be completely inaccurate and untrue for the Telegraph to allege that the difference in purchase and sale price represented a profit," he said.

Err...

Thanks Ray,
I stand corrected, or, pedantically again, I am actually sitting corrected.

All of these thieving hoons need to be subjected to this: The Pay It Back Campaign.

Pay back your expenses, or justify personally to your constituents why you won't

Chalcedon 11 May 2009 17:42

They aren't really passing many laws, just rubber stamping Brussels diktats. Oh, and turning the UK into a totalitarian state. Nearly forgot that one.

I have never trusted brown. But if I had have done all trust would have gone after he sneaked over late to the signing of the eu constitution so that he wouldn't be present at the group signing and in the hope that his act of treachery would go relatively unnoticed. This despite the promise of a referendum in the 2005 manifesto.

wunow 11 May 2009 21:53

Sorry on behalf of all parties? That's fucking rich, they're all the bloody same! Isn't it embarrassing listening to all these shysters reading from the same script!

To be governed is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. To be governed is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be placed under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted from, squeezed, hoaxed, robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonoured. That is government; that is it's justice; that is its morality.
