Quick – Blears at it too……..

If you want to know what's being discussed in Downing Street these days, all you need is a press pass and a telephoto lens.

The Communities Secretary Hazel Blears inadvertently leaked Gordon Brown's proposals to scrap MPs' second home allowances when she left Cabinet clutching a copy in full view of photographers.

In May last year, she hit the headlines when she was snapped leaving Downing Street holding an email print-out on how Prime Minister might take part in an Apprentice-style TV programme, to be called Junior PM.

The same day, the then housing minister Caroline Flint walked past photographers carrying a see-through file as she arrived to brief the Cabinet on problems in the housing market.

Ms Blears was not the only Cabinet member forced to apologise for a security breach. Andy Burnham, the Culture Secretary, issued an unreserved apology after leaving confidential documents on a train.

How much longer do you think the photographer’s will be able to work in Downing Street?

Gazing into my crystal ball, I see a ban on cameras within two miles of Downing Street on the horizon……..

So this is the new kite flying method, hand it to the press on a plate and pretend it is all a mistake?

Rather pathetic really.

Never mind, when ID cards are brought in this will cease to be a problem.

Maybe her friend Jacqboot will send the plod round to arrest her for leaking security-sensitive information.

As for Andy Burnham, how in hell's name is an apology enough for leaving confidential files on a train? Sacking offence, surely?

Dozy fools.

Never a camera shy policeman around when you need one!

When Quick flashed his papers in Dowling Street all the talk in the msm and radio phone-ins was of banning photographers from Downing Street so you're probably not far wrong on this AR. It will raise its head again.

Forgive me for mentioning it, but didn't an honourable senior policeman resign for doing this in the last two weeks, thus setting a precedent?

Labour people aren't renowned for a sence of humour, but if I were a minister, I would have a document with an enlarged page of people's names, addresses and phone numbers and at the end, in smaller type I would put "Some stupid photographer has photographed this and an equally stupid photographer will try and work out what it means.

Then when it appears in all the newspapers with wvweyone guessing what list of names it was, I would announce it was a page torn out of a telephone book.

But that's just my peculiar sence of humour!

I don't see a problem here. This is, after all, Government by photo-opportunity. James Purnell is expert at it.

Gordon has gone all 'internetty' and youtubed his plans about expenses. "It is casting a cloud over the whole of Parliament...every MP wants to live by the rules" It would be more apt to find out why they don't Gordon you fucking wanker!

How the hell have they developed a camera strong enough for her boatrace. Guess that's progress of sorts.

Such a ban would mean no Government. What a great idea.

do you mind posting that again, i still haven't got it. in fact the only thing i do with phone-directories is chew up the pages and stuff the paper-spagetti in my nest to keep it nice and warm...and, contrary to popular belief, i do not squat down on the larger pieces and vigorously rub my arse clean in an overtly suggestive manner, nor do i claim for andrex on parliamentary expenses...no, i just take a shit in my favourite little corner of downing street, right behind the tree...and then lap-out the crack with my tongue to ensure an acceptable degree of rectal hygiene...this is then followed by a quick buff-up with my tail-brush...although i confess i don't usually indulge in this such self-pampering unless i have an important cabinet-meeting scheduled...i am a very busy doe...you know, it's not easy to be a female in the seat of government.

strange, spark up, but true. i can well understand gordon brown wanting to give mrs blears some highlights. i've got a thing for redheads anyway, but hazel's locks are absolutely fantastic, and when i look at this photo i just get the uncontrollable urge to wank into her lovely hairdo. i wouldn't slip my stiffy up her soggy gingersnapdragon, mind. i do have principles, you know.
