The MSM just don't get it

McPoison accuses Guido of having Tory backers - it just shows that they just don’t get it - this blog was started for free, with no committee behind it, no plan, on a whim. It is Guido’s plaything. The Tories are rightly wary of Guido and incidentally they have a PR problem tomorrow - the last thing they want are half truths mixed with smears getting out into the open uncontrollably.

Paul Staines aka Guido Fawkes

I have just watched the SKY report on this story at midnight, the political reporter (name unknown ?? but ghastly dress sense) was whinging that the MSM have strict rules that meant they could not break this story. Wrong, for too long the fourth estate has been part of the problem with our democracy. The BBC is virtually under the thumb of the Government, the dead tree press sucking up to ministers press handlers, means they are equally part of the State apparatus.

The sheer bloody Public anger over immigration, corruption, MP's wallowing in the trough is not getting through, the surveillance society, the abuse of our childrens lives through poor education is not getting through. The wanton theft of our savings, pensions and earnings by the State is not getting through.

This weekend marks the breakthrough of the Political blog as the independent fifth Estate, that means we will all come under attack- Left,Right,Centre, Libertarian, UKIP, BNP, with calls from the MSM, Government and the next Tory Government, to bring this medium 'under control'.

We have to preserve this Liberty to say what we want, for Government to be fearful of the People, NOT the People fearful of the Government.

Well Done Paul, and to a lesser extent Iain Dale for exposing the real mendacity of the political system we have live under.

Tonight is a night to raise a glass, but not to drop our guard.

OH UPDATE: The Old Holborn blog has not cost me nor anybody else one single penny. Order-Order has not cost Guido one penny. Labourlist cost the members of Unite £100,000. (Derek Draper is currently in the Canary Islands, on "holiday")

USE YOUR VOICE . Start your own blog. If Guido can do it, we can ALL do it. 60,000,000 voices against 646. USE IT. Tell THEM what you are thinking, not the other way around.

Here here! All of a sudden the soft underbelly of our political masters is being exposed by those willing to take the time, and put in the effort to show how seedy and grubby our political institutions have become.

Keep up the good work.

And don't go for any woodland walks, also try not to carry any table legs in bin liners, ok.

McBrown hired this Mcclown same as he hired Mandelson. You hire a person for being what they are then you get what you pay for. Brown scapgoats again the cowardly socialy inept moral moron. I find it interesting that Brown did not say this behaviour was out of character.

The Peter O'Toolalike on Sky is not happy at all with us. Says everything we type is taken as fact by gullible fucktards so maybe we should all be chipped and re-educated. The UK Discordian Front supports the Ashwell Rioters. Go rioters. And how about those Thais!

BBC Radio 4 News did a good job yesterday both promoting Guidos outing of McBride and d'Raper and asking guests whether Brown was in on it.
Later in a daytime comedy broadcast
"The sheer bloody Public anger over immigration, corruption, MP's wallowing in the trough is not getting through, the surveillance society, the abuse of our childrens lives through poor education is not getting through. The wanton theft of our savings, pensions and earnings by the State is not getting through".
did get through and the govt. got a good kicking on all those subjects.

"Tell THEM what you are thinking, not the other way round". Amen to that, brother. And when you're telling them, don't pull any punches. Rant & swear & tell it like it is because we are the Fifth Estate and if we get it right these bastards are going down.

The quote from Guido: "McPoison accuses Guido of having Tory backers - it just shows that they just don’t get it - this blog was started for free, with no committee behind it, no plan, on a whim."

I guess Labour's paranoia that goes back at least as far as Harold Wilson, continues to this day.

Of course the security services were watching them, as no doubt they are today. As they no doubt watch every Government. The paranoia stems from Labour believing only they were being targetted.

Has anyone canvassed Harriet Harperson's opinion on the aborted Red Rag website?

OH, that's the best way I've seen it put into words for the modern age.

Mind you, Kipling, in his way, said it century ago.

Good post.2 points.Firstly, how many hits per month does O'H get? Secondly if you are affliated to a major paper (as I am) there are certain "rules".

You can read our stats by clicking on the little sitemeter button on the right hand side.

For those too idle, we get around 2500 readers a day. God knows why.

Bloody damn fine post this is. Well said. The people in the main stream media are too damn frightened or they have far too cosy a relationship with the government spinners and politicians to run this themselves. All far too cosy, too comfortable and way too unthreatening.

These politician bastards will be running scared now and will be wanting to control blogging and the internet. I expect that Estonian woman that wants bloggers and blogsites to be licensed will be wheeled out and given a lot more publicity. Guys, I think it's time to make sure that blogs are hosted on servers out of EU jurisdiction. I don't think Guido is safe in Eire at all. Some nice South American country might be a good idea. Because once these evil bastards cotton on they and their thugs will be coming for the bloggers. Mind you they aren't technically very savvy as yet are they?
