Righteous and conspiracy.

Pay no attention to than that Mandelson behind the curtain.
(Picture found hiding here)

In the comments to a previous post of mine, Anonymous said this:

On the one hand you give us this little theory, and yet on the other you confidently predict that the righteous don't have the brain power to come up with something like Common Purpose, that seeks to look after their own damned graduates afore any other.

Make up your mind!

He has a point.

So, here’s the way I see things. It’s just my opinion, it’s what I interpret from years of far-too-close encounters with the Righteous but I’m no authoritative guru. This is just how it looks to me.

I’ve been wary of conspiracy theories because, as I’ve said before, I don’t believe our government could conspire their way out of a paper bag. The Brown Gorgon, Jacq the Ripper, Bouncy Balls, Hideous Harman, the Ginger Midget and the rest are clearly flailing around with absolutely no idea what they’re doing. They make up legislation based on what’s happened today with no consideration of what happened yesterday and no concern about what might happen tomorrow. The idea of any of them being a ‘mastermind’ is laughable.

That does not mean there isn’t a man behind the curtain. I haven’t seen him but I can’t prove he’s not there.

The Righteous act without thought. Each of them believes that what they say today is reality, what they said yesterday has been forgotten by everyone and what they say tomorrow will be a new reality. They demand that we perform risk assessments before crossing the street yet they have never considered the consequences of their actions. Further, they will never, ever, admit they were wrong.

So we have a smoking ban to exert a smug Righteous control and pubs close in droves. That’s blamed on everything but the smoking ban. We have demands for wheelchair access to dancing venues, which is rubbing serious salt in those wounds for the disabled and inconveniences everyone else. The rule performs no function other than to be today’s Righteous proclamation. We have demands that every illegal immigrant be allowed to stay, that anyone who objects is racist and then they can’t understand why so many vote BNP. Lately, Johnny Porridge stated to the nation that half of us have to die in order to save the other half.

These are not the thoughts and actions of intelligent people. Each Righteous works for themselves and themselves alone. Each Righteous knows the Only True Way. Each one of them is The One. They have never, will never and cannot possibly work together. They are in competition with each other for control.

The Righteous are not intelligent. They have had free reign under a government too busy feathering their own nests to care what’s happening in the country. Each idiotic pronouncement is grasped by a gullible government devoid of ideas of their own. Each step makes a Righteous move up a notch. Every time that happens, more of them try to take the pole position with a new pronouncement of their own. Each individual Righteous agenda is separate but the overall result is chaos and despair.

The Righteous are dangerous but only when allowed out to play. They are the curtain-twitchers, the purse-lipped tight-bunned librarians in those Elton John glasses and tired cardigans. They are the traffic wardens who hide around corners, the park-keepers who roar at anyone who so much as bends a blade of grass. They are the personnel officers who think they own the company. They are the shop stewards of the sixties and seventies, who would bring down a factory and put all their members out of work because the canteen ran out of tea. They are the guy who comes up to you when you’re trying to fix your car and tells you the screenwash must be empty. They are the meddlers, the pickers of detail, the annoying know-alls we used to brush aside.

Now they have joined fake charities and they have become Government Advisors. The only reason they get those positions is that nobody with any sense cares to tell the government anything. Might as well tell the garden gnomes. They won’t listen either but at least they won’t use the information to balls something up. In my line of work, the appropriate Government Advisor is Prof. Hugh Pennington, known in these parts as ‘Saucy HP’ (yes, my fault). He routinely advises outside his range of expertise. The rest of us sigh and set about fixing it.

The government don’t care about us at all. Neither do the Righteous. The government just make shit up as they go along. So do the Righteous. Both are interested only in their own advancement and in increasing their own perceived importance. They are dangerous, they represent a threat to us all that makes Alky Ada and the Hiya Ray look like no more than a bit of a nuisance, but their actions are random. That’s been the problem. It’s hard to fight them because they operate as independent random elements, a sort of political Brownian motion (strangely apposite!) so it’s impossible to say what lunacy will appear next. The only solution is common sense in government and there’s little hope of that.

However.

They can be manipulated. Their own arrogance and self-importance makes them vulnerable to intelligent persuasion but only if they think it's in their own interests.

I don’t believe the Righteous started out as a conspiracy. I don’t believe they could run one now. But I don’t rule out the possibility that someone has seen the potential in their random actions and has taken the opportunity to guide them here and there, to bring together their random control-freakery into a coherent whole. With a little malicious intent and some persuasive words, it wouldn’t really be very difficult. It would have to be someone already in a position of power and authority, someone the Righteous would see as important.

I don’t think there was originally a man behind the curtain.

There might well be one now.

The Righteous spewed from the Polytechnics in the 70 and 80s, imbued with their Marxist claptrap only to find that Thatcherism had destroyed what they thought was the real world.
I don't know if they are organised or not but they would have had and maintained their networks as they permeated the Public Sector and the lower environs of the political scene, as yet, still excluded from political power under Nu Labour.
Over the years they have promoted themselves to commanding hights, sometimes even coming to real power as leaders of NHS Trusts, Local Authority Directors Of Directorates , within the BBC, Quangos of every description and, of course, the fake Charities ( excluded from FOI requests ).
At interview they do not need to speak of politics, they recognise each other by the jargon.

A very small example.
One requirement of the righteous is to be anti-car/pro public transport. What is the purpose of a bus laybye ? It is to ease the passing of general traffic as the bus loads and unloads its passengers. Who decided to fill in those bus laybys and how come it happens simultaneously all over the country ?
What purpose does filling them in achieve except to hinder the private motorist ?
The decision would have been made at the Association Of Local Authority Highways Directors ( or somesuch ) at some hotel in Blackpool. Filling in a bus laybye is not a very expensive thing to do, nor does it require a vote in council, such a boring thing will attract no press coverage.
Not satisfied with this, they then started to build out the pavement at bus-stops into the highway itself, 2'-3', so that rather than parking against the kerb the bus parks in the middle of the road, sometimes even encroaching the other side. Result, queues of waiting traffic unable to overtake and congestion, just begging to be taxed.

Sorry to be so long winded about such a mundane thing but that is all part of the way they work. Hoping we won't notice. It is how they have wrecked the NHS, failed the planning process and done goodness knows how much harm in Social Services and Education.

There is no man behind the curtain.

This phenomena is what is known as a meme.

I covered the definition of this word on a post of mine - bloggers seem to think that a meme is a list of likes and dislikes. It is of much more significance than that, I can asssure you.

No. A meme is a collection of ideologies which merge into one amorphous unit creating its own life force - it then developes its own immune system and becomes larger than the sum of its parts. Effectively it is a mind rather like that which controlls an ant colony.

The current meme's ideologies are Political Correctness and The Environment. To challenge either of these is fatal to career and livelihood and therefore only those who reinforce the meme rise within the system. It self perpetuates and its default mode is to exclude those who don't follow it.

All that people of extremely average ability need do is ride the meme - hence the dismal shower that we now have in such high places in our society. Hence their seemingly boundless levels of luck.

Extremely average ?

An oxymoron - bu you know what I mean.

Why ascribe to malice what can fairly be explained by ambitious opportunism and control freakery?

With no apologies at all to Philip Larkin -

"They be the Curse"

They fuck you up, the Righteous twats,
They may not mean to but they do -
They ignore the logic of their acts
And think their lies are true.

But they were fucked up in their turn
By Marxist teachers in their schools,
Who taught them how to slash and burn,
To steal and butcher all the rules.

Scum hands on Righteousness to scum.
The vicious circle knows no end.
Get out, protest and beat the drum,
And pray that Britain soon may mend.

I am more towards the Electro camp.

These Righteous are like ants. Individually they are a bit dim and robotic, but a nest of them...?

Common Purpose emboldens them, it is a catalyst, a means to concentrate and form a chain reaction of imbecility that overwhelms common SENSE. They become bullies and people comply.

1984 was not a date chosen at random or some manipulation of 1948, the date of its writing, but 100 years on from the foundation of the Fabian Society.

These ants infest all manner of institutions. Like pod-people they turn and howl at outsiders.

Follow the money just about sums it up. The question you have to ask is what is the conspiracy for. They're not exactly hiding it from you anymore. The Pope, George Bush, Bill Clinton, Gordon Brown, Barack Obama, Mikhael Gorbachev, Henry Kissinger and many others have all called for a New World Order. That is merely a code word for world government along with a world army, world financial system etc.

Take a look at the Cecil Rhodes round table network that spawned the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House) and the Council on Foreign Relations. You're more likely to find your real government there.

Take a look at the Fabians as well. H. G. Wells, himself a Fabian, gave the game away in his book, "The New World Order".

"It is the system of nationalist individualism that has to go....We are living in the end of the sovereign states....In the great struggle to evoke a Westernized World Socialism, contemporary governments may vanish....Countless people...will hate the new world order....and will die protesting against it."

It's the libertarians and the nationalists they're after.

Brown's a puppet, Obama's a puppet, Cameron's a puppet. All Bilderbergers along with Clarke, Mandelson, Balls and Osbourne. You don't have to 'control' everybody, just a few at the top.

It appears China is the model they've decided will work best for them.

"The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining super capitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control.... Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent."

Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the Korean Airlines 747 that was shot down by the Soviets.

"The few who understand the system, will either be so interested from it's profits or so dependent on it's favors, that there will be no opposition from that class." - Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild talking about the banking system.

Someone mentioned "Tragedy and Hope' by Bill Clinton's mentor Prof. Carroll Quigley. Here's a key quote:

“The powers of financial capitalism had (a) far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland; a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world.”

I could go on with quotes all day. The information is out there. Do the research.

Nobhead

For a meme to take root all it needs is for some basic ideas - right or wrong - to become orthodoxy.

Ideologies come generally from the reactionary student classes (people with real responsibilities have no time for such bunk) The students carry these beliefs into adulthood embedded within their subconsciences. These attitudes emerge reflexively in decision making once these people are in positions of power.

There is nothing clever or planned about this. As we see many of the proponents of these ideas are stupid.

Their power is derived from a simple tennet. Anyone who doesn't conform is regarded as unclean.

Don't like the EU ? Unclean

Don't conform to environmentalism ? Unclean

Politically incorrect ? Unclean

Think marriage is important in child rearing ? Unclean

I could go on.

The good thing is that the issue of Parliamentary expenses is striking the upholders of the present meme hard. It's difficult for them to think of themselves as clean with such scrutiny.

This is the way to go. Ridicule.

What heralded the arrival of the present meme was satirical comedy and renegade art in all its forms. This debased our former culture terminally.

The same can be done to debase this one. If only the broadcast media can be brought on side.

This might be a off-topic, but your mentioning of smoking bans reminded me. It looks like smoking's gonna be banned everywhere pretty soon. Luckily, smoking bans (and ridiculously high tobacco taxes) don't affect me (even though I smoke a pack a day) ever since I switched to electronic cigarettes! And if you're a smoker, you should too. E-cigarettes are much safer than regular cigarettes, and you can smoke them anywhere cigarettes are banned! I found this blog that helped me figure out which brand of e-cigarette I should buy. If you're considering switching over, I hope this page helps you like it helped me:

And here are some videos with information about how e-cigs work:
