Minority Report isn't real.

"Of course I get more than you. I have a Child."

(picture adopted from here)

Lord Lamebrain has decided that parents are killing their children because social workers aren't catching them in time. While that was likely to be true in several cases, it's not true in most of them. I have little time for the Department of Busybodies that is the SS, but even I have to recognise that they are not psychic.

Ed Balls, the Monster all children should fear, is going to 'do something about it', He's going to train those social workers, presumably in tea-leaf reading and crystal-ball gazing because that's the only way most of those child killings can be stopped.

Actually it's not the only way.

The reason so many children die at home is not the fault of the social workers. It's the fault of the parents and partners who abuse and kill them. It's not capitalism that has led to so much child abuse. It's not unemployment that has led to a rash of killings. It's not even the case that the parents kill the kid before the kid grows up and kills them (although some must be worried about that). Avoiding the real issue is a particular expertise of this government and to be fair, the opposition are pretty good at it too. The real issue is that parents abuse and kill their own children and all we hear is 'We must predict which ones will do this and take the children away even if we're wrong'. What we never hear is 'Why?'

These children were not born to parents who wanted a child. They were born to parents who wanted a free flat and free money. They never wanted the child in the first place. It's a ticket, that's all. A permit to get freebies. Something to be kept in a drawer and presented to the proper authorities at handout time.

There are many out there now who have a dog because they really wanted to have a dog. They love that dog. They had children because they wanted to have a house and free cash. They love that house and free cash. See the difference?

There are mothers out there telling their daughters 'get pregnant, you'll have everything for free'. The child is incidental. The child is the route into freebieland and pretty soon, the child is just in the way. They did not have a child because they wanted a child. The last thing they wanted was a rug-muncher crapping and puking over their Reeboks and painting with mushy peas on that plasma screen. They turn their anger on the child and then comes the abuse, sometimes leading to a killing.

Far too many children are born simply so the mother will get benefits. That's where the blame lies. With irresponsible, unthinking people who aren't ready for parenthood, don't want it and yet see it as the way to Benefit Heaven. These people might have been good parents had they waited, found a job, set up home in a stable relationship and had that child when they were ready, when they felt they really wanted the child for its own sake. Not for the freebies. For the child.

Social workers don't have Minority Report powers. They can't predict which single mothers are in that situation because they wanted a child and found they couldn't cope, nor which of them are cynical benefit sappers who had the child for the money and nothing more. They can't predict which ones will go bad. They can't realistically react until something happens, nor should they. It's not the fault of the Busybodies.

As long as we have a system which encourages single women to have a child for benefits, this is going to get worse.

If Ed Balls wants to do something, he should stop his government paying women to have kids. Stop passing the buck and avoiding the issue. The issue is that benefits system, set up to reward and encourage irresponsible behaviour.

Stop giving them benefits. Give them free condoms instead. If there's no reward for irresponsibility, those children won't be abused because they won't be born until their parents are ready for them, and actually want them.

In the meantime, they could get a dog.

If they could claim benefits for the dog they would get one.

"The nine celebrities who climbed Kilimanjaro - Africa's highest mountain - for Comic Relief have met Gordon Brown in Downing Street."

May the curse of Jonah fall upon:

Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, Take That's Gary Barlow and Boyzone's Ronan Keating were among those at Number 10.

and

The other six who made the top were Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, solo singer Alesha Dixon, Girls Aloud member Kimberley Walsh, TV presenters Ben Shephard and Fearne Cotton, and singer-actress Denise Van Outen

Mr Brown said: "We are proud of everything that nine great heroes have done."

No further comment necessary .....

Brown's using the Royal 'We' now?

The straitjacket better be on standby.

I can read all the names etc - but every single one of them conjures up a huge blank in my skull.

Are these famous people or something? Or just what passes for famous these days?

I'm pretty sure it's impossible for anyone to disagree with a word of this, without being a complete and utter cunt.

Bravo.

Is it possible to agree and still be a complete and utter cunt?

By the way, Mr Holborn, might we have a source for the words you quoted in your ejaculation timed at 23.45?

Yes, ok, I know I did the "we" thing, but I didn't mean me, I mean the greater populace as a whole.

create a Parenting license. you need money and a job,a home,a partner and show some commitment to them.
break the rules pay the price.
your kids are a drain on your money they shouldn't be a drain on mine.

Mitch - a "parenting license"???
Yep, let's just invite Big Brother directly into all our homes and let the state take the deciding role in one of the most personal and intimate decisions of our lives.
Isn't the point to move towards greater freedom and personal responsibility instead of sprinting still further away from it?

Mr Bigot, I’m sure you’ve already found this out for yourself, but I do believe the quote came from Dr. Adrian Rogers from Memphis , in the good ole US of A. Ergo; "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the rich out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend is about the end of any nation." "You cannot multiply the wealth by dividing it." Wise words. He may, or may not have been a cunt!.

Some people near to me wanted another kid so they could get a bigger council house....

Sadly it turns out that the kid will be the same sex as the existing one; ergo no new house.

I fostered for nearly 7 years and whilst there are chavs and uber chavs there must also be some assessment of people with profound learning difficulties.

I'm not a twat (well, I am but that's just a hobby sometimes) but there should be some debate about sterilization. It's horrendous and against everything but when you're dealing with IQ's of less than 80 and also mean bastards as well - I dunno, what ya gonna do?

It is very seldom that random people kill their kids - they are known, mainly thru education - you can spot the large majority of people who are likely to be unfit parents. There are significant numbers of kids who are taken into care as soon as born.

I never really completed my opinion that there should be preventative mechanisms for people to have kids but if pushed, i'd support it I guess but like the death penalty - is 1 mistake in 100 a reasonable price to pay?

Dick the Prick said...

PS - perhaps money is the least relevant factor in parents being loving - kids don't give a shit - charity shops flog lego.

My old dear raised me and numbnuts on fuck all after cunt fucked off shagging his secretary and used maintenance as leverage yet we both had splendid childhoods. Trees and walls and swings and next door neighbours cats and accidently electrocuting your gimp of a brother are all free.

Benefits need to be incentivised to make it easier for parents who want the best for their kids and themselves - why not make the first £50 of earning theirs? I dunno - i've not studied it properly but when it costs to get a part time job - well, it's a no brainer.

Somebody mentioned to me the other day, that as a person on an oil rig who was in effect responsible for other lives around him, he was subject to random drink and drugs test. If he failed, he lost his income.

Now there's a thought. Want us to hand out free beer vouchers to you? Blow into this for a moment.....

PPS - I'm well in favour of structured voluntary work for those receiving benefits. They're not being skanked, it improves skills, increases dignity and helps society. No downside at all if flexible with a bit of a stick for arseholes.

Leopards are completely untameable. Sell it and get a Cheetah instead.

Dick, did you say Numbnuts was a relative of yours?

Yeah, brother. He is a proper numbnuts though, honestly!!

Without going so far as to backdate abortions one way to curb this is when the woman goes to the social she always says she doesn't know who the father is. Otherwise the CSA gets involved this is the reason it was set up but now goes for the easy targets people who work have a home, job etc.
If she keeps quiete the social i.e you and I pay for the brat not the father and believe me some of these men are going for gold kids all over the place fuck and go sort of thing. So what I suggest is stopping all the mothers benefits till her memory improves if the scumbag father has to donate some of his beer tokens every week for 18 years he might think twice next time. As an added bonus most of the kids don't go far from where they are spawned now if the mother doesn't know who the father is the kid obviously doesn't either, so 14 years or so later half brothers breeding with half sisters something else to look forward to.

I wonder if this is a reason for the DNA database? It might be useful for finding unknown fathers.

I should say that I don't agree with Statist ideas like DNA databases. There are obviously much cheaper and much better solutions for the chav problem as Leg-iron has explained. But to those who believe in the total benificience of the State...
