Guido vs. Draper 26/03/09

This is going to be good.

I've shared a few pints with Guido and once gave 10p to a piss stained tramp for "a cup of tea" at Waterloo so this is a match made in heaven.

Don't miss it.

Swiss Bob is covering it live and I'll be moderating (yeah, right)

caesars wife,  19 March 2009 at 22:33

guido can turn to god , draper can turn to bullshit.

viva guido

note to bald headed political knobhead , and your policies are ??? mmm so good youve been keeping us waiting for 12 yrs , put them on antiques roadshow , under concepts that never made it into goverment.

we are getting seriously rodgered under labour either the phoenix flies , or it it always was as flightless as the dodo and will go the same way as it , shot by pissed up skint , conscripts

Mark Wadsworth 19 March 2009 at 23:10

What does 'moderating' entail?

Eastenders is deeper than this!,  19 March 2009 at 23:12

Yep, far more important a headline than political opponents are being attacked with hammers by rival party supporters.

Glad to see OH has got his priorities right!

Jesus wept!

nightjack 19 March 2009 at 23:14

Should be fun. I bet my next coffee that Draper plays the man rather than the ball.

Draper will tie Guido in a knot, he won't even have to try.

Hell, a dead sheep could tie Guido in a knot, for as well as being thick as shit, Guido has no debating skills.

It won't `be good`

electro-kevin 20 March 2009 at 01:43

You think the BBC will give Guido a fair run ?

If you can't trust them with a Blue Peter compo what can you trust them with ???

I think it's a mistake to go ahead with this.

Mitch 20 March 2009 at 05:10

I fear dolly will win in the "edit"

looking at the Daily Politics link, if the moderation highlighted there is anything to go by this meeting will just be a damp squib - let's have an actual, adult debate not a stranglehold on free comment. Won't happen despite the publicity.

tv pundit,  20 March 2009 at 06:33

This is going to be a damp squib.

Any 'discussion' between Draper and Staines would need to be held in a pub at around 1100pm after both protagonists are well oiled to be interesting or exciting.

Draper is better equipped to handle a discussion in a TV studio.

Bristol Dave 20 March 2009 at 07:25

Is this going to be streamed live online? I don't have access to a TV at work...

Stop Common Purpose 20 March 2009 at 07:33

I assume this will eventually end up on Youtube.

Dick the Prick 20 March 2009 at 07:46

Jo Cockburn will do it so following questions will have bugger all to do with the answers given. Standard BBC drivel.

Henry North London 20 March 2009 at 08:21

Finally a reason to watch TV in the middle of the day I shall leave a comment up at the bbc site

Henry North London 20 March 2009 at 08:25

Ah The site wont bloody load now Youve got half the bloody blogosphere trying to access it

Swiss Bob 20 March 2009 at 08:26

If someone spent thier life mocking me and telling the world my wife was fucking another guy and my kid wasn't mine i'd relish the chance to meet them in person on live TV.

Ampers 20 March 2009 at 09:04

I sawat the bottom of the bbc page:

Robert Peston
Is it a return to the 19th Century for our banks?

If only it were, then the banks were honest!

I thought the Jury Team looked like an interesting solution to destroy the party system?

The comment service has been closed temporarily for maintenance. It will return shortly.

The blogosphere blew the server OH you are naughty!

I wish Guido would turn his talents on people of consequence instead of being distracted by non-entities. What a waste.

Old Holborn 20 March 2009 at 15:02

He is. This battle will be watched by Mandy, Prescott, Harris and the rest of them.

Draper is the loose screw that leads to the very heart of ZNL.

To be governed is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. To be governed is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be placed under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted from, squeezed, hoaxed, robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonoured. That is government; that is it's justice; that is its morality.
