Spot the difference

A fellow seditionary has just pointed out a rather interesting letter he has received from his Tory MP, the bloated Charles Hendry in response to a letter he sent

Dear Mr DZ

Thank you for your email about MP's expenses and I am very sorry for the delay in responding back to you.The Government originally intended to exempt Parliament from all Freedom of Information enquiries. Many of us believed that this would have prevented people from being able to access a full and transparent picture of how MPs are spending taxpayers’ money and think that the Government’s proposal was completely contrary to the spirit of the Freedom of Information Act.

Funny that. I sent a letter to my Tory MP, Brooks Newmark and guess what he said:

There are two kinds of people who stand for office. Decent people and corrupt, grasping chancers. I know which party has the worst kind, in droves, last 11 years of irrefutable proof.
In all parties there are both kinds. In Labour there is Frank Field and er..er...er.., well you know what I mean!

I think they all deserve a second home

Oddly enough, my Tory MP said exactly the same thing. Do you think they might have someone in CCHQ who drafts up suitably smooth responses for lazy MPs to use?

Or maybe they just compare notes when they think they've come up with a good response...?

Why do people vote?

Old Holborn said...

I don't.

I'm not on the electoral register which in itself is a crime punishable by a fine of up to £1000. I refuse to be.

Come and get me. If you know who I am and where I live, of course you cunts.

Praetorian Prefect Rufinus
...his greed and avarice were renowned throughout Constantinople, as was his corruption; not surprisingly he had become possessed of immense and steadily increasing wealth. Above all he was ambitious, and his ambitions were centred on a single object; the imperial throne...on the day when he was expecting to be made co-emperor he began mingling witn the troops, insidiously soliciting their support for his forthcoming elevation. At first he did not notice that they were slowly closing in around him; when he did so it was already too late...moments later Rufinus fell dead to the ground. His body was swiftly hacked to pieces, and his magnificent head carried on a spike through the streets. One group of soldiers, with a sense of the macabre, even struck off his right hand at the wrist and carried it from house to house, crying, 'Give to the insatiable' as they pulled the tendons to make the fingers jerk open and shut.

At least you got a reply. I got a sheet of stats regarding what MP's could claim and fuck all else.

However, roll on when the fuckers come canvassing...

I'm surprised at least one of the constituents didn't have his original letter enclosed, with a PostIt note affixed - "Send this fuckwit the FOI letter".

What would be more sinister if someone had got the same reply from a LABOUR MP too.

They've all got their snouts in the trough si it wouldn't suprise me.

My Tory MP said, that it was Labour's disgraceful attempt to exempt parliament from the Freedon of Information Act".
He went on the explain that he wondered however if it was right to publish receipts for things like boxes of paperclips.
He is near the top of claimers!

Didn't you notice that young couple with the baby who discreetly followed you home from NSY the other day?
