It can't be true -Gordon was boasting quite recently of his success in reducing borrowing.

He surely wouldn't be so dishonest or deluded to boast about a falsehood.

Well while it's definately true that Western governments have to take a large part of the blame for this financial crisis, the individual has to shoulder some of the blame as well. Spending money they couldn't afford.

Anyhow, it's going to get worst. The dollar, sterling and the euro are highly likely to collapse. The brown stuff is really going to hit the fan.

I've always lived within my means, and have built up some savings, yet now I risk loosing the lot if things really go tits up. So much for "prudence"....
