Oh Flower of Scotland

One third of the population of Glenrothes on benefits, one third of the population of Glenrothes actually working for the Labour government

I’ll say it again:

"The difference between a Welfare State and a Totalitarian State is a matter of time"

Strange how Courageous Gordon would not have campaigned in Glenrothes had He not known that His party would win.

If they can fix one and no one raises any suspicions, then....

The Buckie absolutely fucks you and is a dangerous piece of work to be sure but once you get used to it it's heaven.

I went to Blackpool (the holiday resort of the more undiscerning Scot) the other day and I was amazed to find no Buckie in the local Tesco superstore - what's the warld coming tae?

A glass or two of Dead Arm Shiraz in the evening,

The Ozzies do it well.

Buckfast is brewed down our way and is probably our main export to Scotland so don't knock it please OH.
Keeps several monks gainfully employed.

BTW, BBC Radio Devon began the day describing Labours Glenbrothels win as 'noteable', by midday they felt the need to point out Labours reduced majority but by late afternoon " astounding " came in to win.

Financial crisis and every fecker gets behind the governingment, especially the governingment. Fickle gits. Donald Trump messed up the SNP vote. Why do I care?

It seems odd to me that labour are so ecstatic about this. They call it a 'win' but really it's just a 'hold', and with a reduced majority at that. Even with all those postal votes, their share went down.

If they are so loved, as they think, then surely they'd have had no worries about this safe seat and would have expected an increased majority?

It could have a silver lining though. The Gorgon might take it as a cue to call a general election.

Actually, you are right. Jeremy Harding is a fucking cunt.

Leg-Iron is right. This is hardly a victory to crow about. The jock welfare recipients have seen how they are still reliant on English capital after all.

Hopefully Broon will be lulled into thinking he can win an election. Personally I doubt he has the balls for an election but if he does go to the country Labour will still get a drubbing. This result changes nothing.

Er, excellent blog, but just one point.I work for a Labour council in NE England. It would take a bloody miracle to make me vote for the hypocritical sods ever again. Remember, Thatcher won by - among other things - getting a lot of votes from trade unionists.

Had a look at your source I get almost half (45%) of those in jobs employed by government and less than 10% of working population on benefits. Have I missed something.

Pointed something like this out on Tom Harris's blog. He didn't publish my comment, and I didn't swear or anyfing. Guess the truth hurts.
