I really don`t know how Gorgon could lay a wreath at the cenotaph to show respect for the people who died to keep this country free, when the rest of the year the insolent hypocritical cunt does the complete opposite. Does he have no shame ?

The old boys and girls who march past us on the way to the annual remembrance service failed to appear again. I think there's a match on...

I read a letter in the Telegraph the other day where the correspondent suggested that only the Monarch should lay a wreath on behalf of the Nation.

The sight of political party leaders made him feel ill and I quite agree. To see someone like Brown and Blair before him and the rest of the ghastly lot makes me feel sick too.

Remember Michael Foot and the donkey jacket?

I was asked about my poppy in my local the other night by a Seth Efrican.

"Do you wear it to remember the war?"
"No, I wear it because it helps me spot foreigners".

I am encouraged by the number of Indians who wear poppies and encourage their children to do so too. In years to come the RBL might bring out a Burberry poppy for chavs, a pinkish tone for the gunshy parliamentarians such as the Rt Honourable ****** ***** and Lord ********* . Self-detonating poppies could catch on in certain sectors of our cosmopolitan community.

Read and weep

"Director of Relatives for Justice (RFJ) Mark Thompson has described the wearing of poppies by PSNI officers in West Belfast as “repugnant and offensive”.

Mark contacted the Andersonstown News on Thursday morning after he saw two PSNI officers on the Falls Road wearing poppies on their hats.

“The poppy is a political statement and therefore should be prohibited from the workplace – this is especially the case concerning public servants such as the PSNI,” said Mark.
