Something is afoot

I can smell it.

OH's spider senses are tingling.

ZNL are up to something big.

Nick Robinson is saying Brown is safe, Pravda are spinning a story about bent black coppers, Lord Sainsbury has told Gordon to fuck off and the back benches (aka people who owe Blair a favour) are throwing themselves on the funeral pyre.

It's going to be a long weekend
UPDATE:Sky: Labour General Secretary Ray Collins refuses to send nomination papers to all Labour MPs…

It's getting a little nippy up here in woodland,

What we need is a fucking big bonfire to clear the ground.

Or is it called a pyrefire?

The story about the bent copper has the same photo of the same allegedly bent copper as this one:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7350894.stm

One interesting line:

BBC London's Home Affairs Correspondent Guy Smith said the National Association of Muslim Police told him another concern was that Muslim officers found it difficult to join SO15, the Met's counter-terrorism command, for which you need to be a detective.

What a bunch of racists those SO15 lot are. Not long ago they weren't even keen on letting the Irish become members.

Can't think why.

Can't think why Muslims would specifically want to join a police section that has its full attention on Muslims at the moment, either.

If this stuff wouldn't be so boring, it would be quite interesting.

Hey, everyone is a philosopher!

Wishful thinking old chap. I can't see the turkey's voting for Christmas any time soon. Oh and what has the Brazilian rent boy employer got to do with it?

If you think we're in for a couple of long days now, just wait till the ZNL party conference kicks off...

Erm...

Why is Bryan Ferry standing behind a photo of some sort of jelly?

There is a whisper in the air that Gordon is feeling a little under the weather in the top storey. Not the usual autism stuff, but something new and significant. Just a whisper mind, but it started just before that whipette asked for a form.

Could be an interesting weekend.

Oooh, oooh, is there going to be a witchhunt? I like a good witchhunt. I'll get the pitchforks, you get the torches.

"Weaned on a pickled onion after being thrown into the cold cruel world"

Been so busy OH haven't had time to drop by in ages.

Was in London for a brief stopover hoping the National Execution Service failed to kill my old man off at the second attempt, filthy bastards. On the bright side I picked up some lovely cheese and pickled onions to take back with me.

Would you belive that a cunt at Gatwick confiscated my pickled onions? What fucking cunts they are. Haven't had a picled onion in ages.

Brown is about as safe as my erstwhile colleague Commissioner Blair is with the Asian Persuasion at his throat. (I was a riot cop once upon a time)

This is deeper that people think - there is a coup going on at New Scotland Yard. These people want far more than compo - they want power.

My biggest beef with the police is that they are prepared to go on strike over pay and yet they put up with political correctness and being labled by McPherson as 'institutionally racist'. They should have been out on strike over that slur. Instead they have surrendered our police force to the ethnic minority and this is just the latest manifestation of that capitulation.

OH,

What a bloody good idea. I am an excellent cook, but presently pissed - see previous deleted comments.

I will check out the link and a supply of Weinessig or malt vinegar.

I always have a good stock of pickling vinegar in case too many Righteous turn up at once.

It's best to be prepared.
